The Sunday Post #41

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ Its a chance to share news ~ A Post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Life:

I just had the strangest moment. I wanted to tell you guys all about my week.. and my mind just went blank. What did I do this week? It was a good one, I know that because I’m feeling good but what on earth did I do this week? I honestly had to grab my planner to check what I did! LOL!! Weird!! Do you guys have moments like that?

But thankfully it came back. I’ve had a good week. I had a lot of free time this week because I only had to work two days. That’s really unusual for me, but I had worked so much in November and December that I had to have some days off this month. I suppose all those over hours had to be cleared, but I don’t mind at all. It’s definitely nice to have a lot of free time for once.

But I couldn’t spend it all on reading unfortunately. Monday I had a cleaning day. I desperately needed to clear out my closets and get rid of stuff I never use, and clothes I don’t fit anymore. In the end I had six garbage bags full to get rid of, so I’m really proud of myself. I’m not very good in throwing stuff away so this was a big deal for me.

Tuesday was my only bad day of the week since I had to go to the dentist. I now have a ‘sort-of’ brace for two weeks. Blegh.. I’ve had braces when I was in my teens but now there was a lot of room between two of my front teeth that wasn’t there a view weeks ago. So now I’m wearing these braces for two weeks and they say it will be back to normal again after that. It sucks at the moment, because it hurts and doesn’t feel very comfortable but in the end it is for a good cause. I can’t have a big hole between my teeth when I’m getting married in a view months right! Whahaha

Wednesday and Thursday I had to work and on Friday my mom and her boyfriend came to our home. My mom and I cooked some Spanish tapas and it was really good.
And not to forget my boyfriend and I went to the gym three times this week. We’re definitely back in our healthy lifestyle vibe. I’m feeling really good about it. And it’s also good for my audiobook listening time.

Books & Blogging:

I’ve had a good amount of time to read this week, which was really good since I’ve been waiting on the J.D. Robb novel to arrive for a long time. I have the whole weekend off and I’m planning to read most of it since my blog tour stop of the J.D. Robb novel is this Thursday. Thankfully I’m a good planner and my schedule is still good to go.

I’m still having a lot of fun writing my weekly meme posts: My Favorite.. And every week there are participating more people so.. Yay!! I'm happy!! :D

  1. I totally forget sometimes what I did during the week and when it's time to write something I draw a blank! You're not alone. Glad you had a good one. The food looks yummy! :)

Thanks. It was really yummy too. It was a lot more work than we planned, but I suppose I can never do things the easy way!! LOL!!

  2. It happens to me every time I open my blog editor :/ Talking to people I can't see or writing to an audience isn't easy for me. Practice is all I can do.

  3. I have those blanked out moments sometimes, too, especially when I'm working on my thesis. I get my stuff because I have this fantastic thing I want to add to it and then, it's just gone. Thankfully, most of the time it gets back to me again :)
I hope the kind of brace will help with the gap between your teeth, even if it's uncomfortable right now.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

    1. It's weird right? Like we have a hole in our minds or something. It's kinda disturbing, but thankfully it gets back in the end. :D
      Have a good week Lexxie!

  4. Yes... I do get those moment, particularly when I'm in the middle of writing first drafts:). You have my profound sympathy - I needed a brace as an adult after a hockey accident as a teenager caught up with me - it's miserably painful as I recall:(. Have a great reading week. 1. Yep, it's definitely no fun having braces again. But hopefully they'll be gone next week.. So not to long fortunately!

  5. HA! That's funny. I'm always glad to hear there are other "Dories" out there besides me :) Do I have moments like that? An easier question to answer would be "Do I DON'T have moments like that" NOPE. I ALWAYS DO. LOL

Free time is awesome. Is a treasure that we should be able to save to use when needed! So glad you had one of those weeks. Cleaning is never as good as reading [just a few things in life are actually] but I always feel good AFTER I do it. While I'm doing it I feel miserable LOL Enjoy next week :)

I definitely felt miserable while I was clearing out all those closets.. But I'm very happy with the result! I had to do it sooner or later and now I had the time.. So I'm glad I did it!
      Have a great week!

  6. Oh, yes, I am good at forgetting what I did...the only thing that jogs my memory is checking the books I read and posts I wrote...which I have in my notebook. LOL. I very clearly remember moments from the past, though. Oh, no, aging!

As for you, going to the dentist might have just been traumatic enough that you had temporary amnesia...LOL.

I hate going to the dentist!

The table with all those delicious looking foods looks awesome.

I want to read more J. D. Robb books...so far, only the first three have been read by me. Sigh.

Have a great week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  8. Oh I'm waiting on the JD Robb as well... I hope I get it from the publisher!

And I know what you mean about going / being blank about your week. Sometimes I struggle with what I have to share about what I've done!!!

  10. I am the child of two pack rats, who are children of pack rats. It's in the DNA, I think. I am trying really hard to not keep shit that is unnecessary, but I'm really bad with papers of all kinds. I was impressed with myself of what I got rid of and donated when I moved in Nov. An entire truckload of stuff. No giving up now! lol

    1. Whaha a truckload? That's impressive! Good job! I definitely agree about it being in your DNA.. I remember we had to move my mom a view years ago because she was going to life with her boyfriend and she had a lot of stuff. More than a lot actually! LOL!! So it's not my fault at all! LOL!
      Have a great week!
